The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) have selected a number of Housing Associations, as HomeBuy Agents to provide a ‘one stop shop’ advice and information service about low cost home ownership/HomeBuy schemes.

HomeBuy Agents:

  • Operate within county boundaries.
  • Explain how the different low cost home ownership/HomeBuy schemes work.
  • Offer advice, information and access to anybody looking for one of these schemes.
  • Advertise where schemes are currently available and where there are plans to provide these in the future.
  • Issue application forms and carry out initial eligibility assessments.
  • 'Sign post' eligible applicants to suitable schemes being sold by other organisations within particular counties.
